Quick Hit: Oregon Governor

Oregon

Good evening. Yes this is a late post and I apologize, but Here’s the latest Rasmussen on the Oregon Governor’s race.

Republican Chris Dudley once trailed 42-36 (MoE 4.5) during the primaries, but he ssems to have caught even. A month ago he was tied at 41 with Democrat John Kitzhaber, and now he is behind one point, 45-44.

Every executive seat up for grabs could be critical in the redistricting process after the Census, and both parties will likely fight hard in every close race.

The Senate Race poll out today was closer too then I expected

    Wyden 51%
    Hoffman 38%

    perhaps Oregon has hope yet

Another race we need to watch is

Susana Martinez (R-NM) she is in a tight primary, but a late poll today shows her in the lead in the general election. She is the right candidate that can win this state.

He is a strong candidate. I don’t expect him to win, but I think this could be the biggest sleeper race of the year. With a strong top and bottom of the ticket, it could be enough to carry Huffman to a very close race, especially if his fundraising continues to go well.

The only seats that Real Clear Politics is calling safe for the Ds are Pat Leahy, Daniel Inoue, Chuck Schumer, and Barb Mikulski.

…as long as he’s not shooting free throws.

You’d love it if he was shooting them as a member of the Knicks.

Oregon has 5 seats, and the fact that a 52-48 state is represented by 4 dems and one Republican shows how gerrymandered the state is.

Oregon could easily be drawn as a 3 Rep / 2 Dem state.

Has really seemed to shake up this race to. She has opened up a large primary lead, and even a 6pt general election lead! http://www.surveyusa.com/client/PollReport.aspx?g=b843684b-4dff-4d4b-91c0-c096addfce84
