Tech at Night: Bradley Manning confesses. Kim Dotcom whines like a stuck pig. Don’t let Pandora be a regulatory Solyndra.
Is it still a likely coincidence when all these stories at once come out pushing this topic of spending money to give schoolkids access to the dangerous, adult Internet? Or is somebody funding this drive?
Manning confessies to being a spy and a traitor. I wish we could just force choke him.
Bad news: New Zealand is arming manatees. Seriously though, if Kim Dotcom wants to fight his prosecution, he should turn himself in, instead of continuing his crimes in New Zealand.

Top Dem Spokesman in WI Compares Gov. Walker to Murderer
It was the great scandal that wasn’t. An investigation called for by Governor Scott Walker while he was Milwaukee County Executive morphed into a politically-charged, partisan witch hunt led by a Democrat district attorney whose office was bent extracting political blood from the newly elected Republican governor. Walker had asked prosecutors to look into allegations of financial misconduct on the part of some county employees, | Read More »
Defund Obamacare Now!
Next week House Republicans plan to bring a Continuing Resolution to the floor, which will fund the federal government for the rest of the fiscal year. If nothing is done to stop them, GOP leaders plan to put forth a clean CR that funds Obamacare. This is unacceptable. With health insurance premiums skyrocketing, employers dumping workers from health plans, and new reports predicting trillions in | Read More »
Kasich Appointee Scolds Opponents of Ohio Medicaid Expansion
Ohio Right to Life president Michael Gonidakis belittled the Ohio Liberty Coalition (OLC) and every other conservative group in the state in a February 27 Columbus Dispatch editorial promoting Governor John Kasich’s decision to expand Medicaid. Gonidakis, who Kasich appointed to the State Medical Board of Ohio just four months ago, parroted the Republican governor’s progressive talking points for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) Medicaid expansion. “Memo | Read More »
The Sequester Gift Bag
As you all are probably aware, the Oscars were this past weekend, and as usual, the gift bag was huge. It was at a five year low $47,803, mind you, but by the standards of us poors, it was gigantic. So that got me thinking, what kind of gift bag would our beloved Congressmen and Senators get from President Obama for putting up with this | Read More »
Harold Myerson Authors A Fireworks Display of Remarkable Unintelligence
The Washington Post treats us to a particularly fact-free, faith-based, disingenuous sermon from the Secular Gospel of Keynes entitled Sequestration Stupidity. The preacher, Harold Myerson, perhaps has handled one snake too many and the venom has enstupidated his brain. It seems he doesn’t care for sequestration. It makes him sad that government just can’t spend whatever it bloody well pleases. He laments the evil of people who believe that governments should live within a budget.
Like an uninspired, hung-over reverend, Myerson attempts to preach a set of moral values he does not practice using a parable that represents the world as the world is not. We get treated to homilies of the sort that follow below.

Fallout from Seattle’s killer plastic bag ban policy.
Quick background: Seattle last year instituted a ban on plastic bags and mandated a charge for paper bags, on the grounds that doing so would force consumers to use recyclable bags. This is all ostensibly for improving the quality of life in Seattle: “I think we’ve gotten to a place where it’s really going to work for the environment, businesses and the community in general,” | Read More »

On today’s edition of Coffee and Markets, Brad Jackson and Ben Domenech discuss the dread of Sequestration Day, whose fault it is, and how it will impact the average American.

Remembering Andrew Breitbart: One Year Later
I smiled as I passed him in the hallway. Surrounded, as always, by a group of people listening intently as he spoke animatedly in his uniquely captivating way. He had stopped by the blogger room earlier in the day to brief us on the latest concerning Pigford. I stopped short a few feet past him and paused to consider taking a picture with him. I | Read More »
House & Senate Republicans Set to Endorse and Fund Obamacare
You want to know why the left is more successful at politics? They are willing to move heaven and earth to create new dependency programs, despite the electoral risks. They understand that once the program is implemented, Republicans will never have the guts to undo it. And they are correct. Even some of our best conservatives lack the gumption to do what it takes to | Read More »
The White House Must Make Sequestration Cuts as Nasty as Possible
The White House has an obligation to make sequestration cuts as nasty, painful, and inconvenient as possible.See, this fight has never been about what to cut, but whether to cut.If Americans see that Washington can be cut through sequestration without it being painful, Barack Obama loses. He must make it horrible on the public so that the public doesn’t ever want to cut spending again. It | Read More »

Fracking: Drilling Past The Myths
It’s probably safe to say that most Americans are unaware of what the term “fracking” means. If you’ve heard of it, the details can be hard to pin down due to the controversy surrounding the method of gas extraction. With mainstream movies like Gasland and The Promised Land on their side, those opposing fracking have easily buried the truth below layers of myths. Fortunately, as | Read More »
Google and Democrats deny that Google is helping Democrats
A couple weeks ago, I warned conservatives about Google’s entanglement with the Left, and the possibility that Google could provide data intelligence to Democrats. Not the usual consumer data that everybody uses, but a level of real-time behavioral data far beyond what Republicans could ever achieve using available consumer data. That concern was dismissed as a conspiracy theory by some people. The question isn’t whether | Read More »
Maxine Waters Wins A Fields Medal
Sequestration isn’t as bad as I exaggerated it to be yesterday. It’s worse. Out of the 143 Million people who work, Sequestration will cause 170 Million of them to lose their jobs. It’s Obamacare on steroids and it’s growing huge.
OK, so that’s a wee tad inaccurate. It could even be argued that Congresswoman Maxine Waters respects the truth about as much as Occupy Wall Street demonstrators respect police cars. She sincerely has no clue what Sequestration will do or will not do to U3, U6 or U235 unemployment rates. But hey, look! A microphone! Journalists!
