Pro-Aborts Screech Stay Out Of My Uterus! Unless They Want To Brag About Abortions On Twitter

ihadanabortion

Pro-abortionists love to give lip service to the “right” to privacy, especially when it concerns fancy wombs. Except for when they wish to take to Twitter and boast about their abortions publicly, apparently. This week, they did just that using the hashtag #ihadanabortion. The alleged reasoning behind such a campaign was to promote empowerment and to take the “stigma” out of, you know, the killing of unborn children. Because, wing nuts won the elections. And The Patriarchy ™. Or something. Never mind that elections themselves are, by definition, all about choice. Facts are hard.

Facts are hard for the press, too, who are ever ready to toe the pro-abortion lefty line. The Washington Post furthered the “OMG, radical extremists who hate lady bits were elected!!!111″ narrative with their article “#Ihadanabortion: Tweeting abortion after the election.” Their bias was clear from the first two paragraphs:

With Tuesday’s sweep of antiabortion candidates into Congress (including a handful of ‘hardliners‘ who say they would outlaw the procedure in all circumstances), some pro-abortion rights activists took to Twitter under the hashtag #Ihadanabortion.

Salon reported that the campaign began with a tweet Wednesday morning by @IAmDrTiller: ‘Time for us to come out. Who’s had an abortion? Show antis we’re not intimidated by scare tactics. Use: #ihadanabortion.’

Oh, yes, people were forced to boast about their abortions due to a sweep of hardliners threatening them. Apparently super scarily threatening them with the fact that abortion is legal in this country. Sigh. Hey, what about the hardliner who started this “campaign”? What kind of extremist does one have to be to choose Dr. Tiller as their idol? A man who killed thousands and thousands of unborn babies and harmed thousands and thousands of women.

Salon‘s Broadsheet also made mention of the elections in their article “Tweeting your abortion.” Tracy Clark-Flory wrote “Political slogans are not about nuance, and after Tuesday’s election we’re especially in need of some bold rhetoric.” This is typical of Tracy Clark-Flory, of course. When Angie Jackson disgustingly live-tweeted her abortion, Tracy Clark-Flory not only applauded it, but said that women should thank her. Thank her. First, she quoted Angie Jackson’s vile “It’s not that bad… It’s basically like a miscarriage”. Um. Except you are killing the baby on purpose. And, by the way, a miscarriage isn’t such a cavalier thing to most people who are neither heartless nor soulless. It hurts. You grieve for the life lost. You never, ever forget it. She went on to grossly say:

there is something reassuring about how she matter-of-factly walks us, and herself, through the whole process. It’s as though she’s live-tweeting the aftermath of a routine medical procedure, like a wisdom tooth extraction.

That exemplifies the second absurd narrative they are trying to promote with this campaign. Abortion needs to be out in the open and not stigmatized. Abortion should be no big whoop! It’s just like eating a cheeseburger. Wait, bad example. Eating cheeseburgers should be stigmatized, according to the Left. But not killing the unborn – hence the need for “bold rhetoric.” Here is some of the “bold rhetoric” Clark-Flory, for one, rejoices in:

Almost half my life ago, #ihadanabortion. I’m not sorry. I’ve never been sorry. I will never be sorry. Just very, very grateful.

Those who are ANTI-choice shd B glad #ihadanabortion. I went on to finish college, support myself, marry … have 2 honor students. Nice, huh?

Pregnancy or a child doesn’t stop you from being able to attend class or, you know, read. Unless these “empowered” feminists are claiming that a pregnant woman is somehow non-functional, incapable of thought and disabled to the point where she can’t attend college while pregnant – or even after having a child.

bgiacomazzo: I’m GLAD that most people are coming out in SUPPORT of #ihadanabortion — I guess there’s hope after all. You women are so brave. Godspeed.

AmandaMarcotte: Good on the folks at the #ihadanabortion hashtag. I haven’t, but it’s incredibly common. No need to feel alone.

Too bad that they wish women who have been harmed by abortion, who have been traumatized by it, remain feeling alone. They deny their very existence.

EmilyWherever: Sometimes twitter is so inspiring. The #ihadanabortion hashtag is beautiful to see. Yeah ladies!

“Yeah ladies! Good on you for killing your unborn children! w00t! You totally pwnd that baby!”

JenGStarr: @Quod_Erat More selfish and damaging to bring a child into the world without the means to care for or provide for them.

Of course, a baby is better off dead than being poor! I mean, what if that baby won’t have its own swanky pants and oh-so-hip iPod? What if it, egads, has to eat store brand food? The Left is constantly talking about welfare and food stamps and “free” health care for all, yet they evidently don’t think anyone actually avails themselves of such things. Instead, just kill the baby.

What never enters their empty heads and heartless bodies either is the fact that no baby is unwanted. We have this thing called adoption. Perhaps that is too complex an idea for the soulless.

AmandaMarcotte: Also, screw the people who tell you you’re wrong at #ihadanabortion. Most of them would be pissed if the thread was #ihadsexoncewhilefemale

JenGStarr: @AmandaMarcotte It’s not so much about life with them, more about punishing female sexuality.

Typical narrative from modern day feminists; try to paint anyone who doesn’t share your beliefs — about anything — as some sort of puritanical prude. Bring it around to sex, as always, natch. Because, prudes. You see, that’s the reason we don’t want babies to be killed: Because we hate sex. Or something.

This vile campaign promotes only one thing to me. It proves that the Left uses women only. They are preying on them and convincing them that they should brag shamelessly about the killing of unborn children. They want abortion not safe, legal and not rare. Not only not rare, but something to boast about and rejoice over.

They seek to encourage abortion for convenience, they seek to encourage the killing of an unborn child who isn’t timely. They deny the very real trauma that abortion causes women. They deny the deep pain and guilt these women suffer from. But they encourage its celebration.

It is not “empowering.” It is heinous.

With a very few exceptions, the pro-aborts aren’t heartless, evil people. Generally, the radicals fall into one of two categories. One set of those are women who have had abortions because they don’t really understand what an abortion is. They see it as a solution to a frightening or inconvenient situation, or something into which they were coaxed by a boyfriend, family member, or some other perhaps will-intentioned but horribly misguided confidant. Many of them subconsciously know that it was wrong, but they are in denial and are attempting to justify it to themselves.

The others are similar to child soldiers. They may have known better at some time, but they have been radicalized by their environment, be it home, school, neighborhood, media, whatever, to the point that it is difficult if not impossible for them to be impacted even when confronted with the full outcomes of their actions. That doesn’t excuse them, but it does make them more human than you seem to suggest.

In either case, as Norma McCorvey wrote, they must be treated with understanding and respect. Ultimately, like her, they must be won by love. attempting to demonize them will not get us anywhere.

and I know women who have had an abortion and regret it.

But still “this is beautiful to see?” Abortion is murder. Whether you are pro-abortion or not, how the h*ll can you call anything that has to do with it BEAUTIFUL? That is just twisted to me.

Updates like this serve to keep the troops informed and aware of what is going on. I forget that there are such disgusting people out there. I don’t think I have ever met anyone like these #ihadanabortion ladies. So I need these updates and insights.

Other works can be about love and conversion and changing minds.

I see a need for both. Different tools, different times and places.

I became pro life about ten years ago after breaking free from the college campus groupthink liberalism (actually, my conversion was in my junior year). Since then, I’ve had many discussions and debates with men and women on the abortion topic, including many women who have had abortions themselves.

The most difficult discussion is when you are speaking to someone about abortion, who has had an abortion in the past. Think about it: it is a legal medical procedure here in the USA, but you are essentially telling this person that they are a murderer. Of course, you should never frame it that way, but anyone who has attempted to discuss the topic with an abortion survivor knows that it is extremely difficult.

I really think that about 95 percent of women are simply misguided. They are justifying their own actions that they know to be wrong (can they ever admit to themselves that they murdered another human being?) or have simply fallen for the rhetoric of the pro abortion crowd. These people must be treated with dignity and respect. You will get nowhere by demonizing them. Yes, they are wrong. But they can be convinced and brought around to the other side. It won’t happen by villifying them. Most importantly, the ones who have had an abortion need to be reassured that once they admit to themselves that it was wrong, they can be forgiven. Christ is cool like that.

The other five percent . . . another story completely. These are the truly soulless people who are deeply criminal in their thinking. These are the ones who take sick and grotesque pleasure in harming others, and using others. They are the ones advancing the Marxist agenda, because that’s what legalized abortion does. It destroys people, turns them to government, makes them despondent and dependent.

These people must be marginalized. However, it has to be done tactfully with the searing ring of truth. Never get into a debate with these monsters. The battle must be won with the 95 percent — you will never score any points debating the five percent.

Posts like this one, while they feed the sense of righteousness on the anti abortion side, do absolutely nothing to help win the argument. Yes, we all know they are hypocrites and they want to murder babies. Let’s take the argument to their side (literally) and, as a fellow RedStater leaves us with every time: bring reason to [their] ears, and, in language as plain as ABC, hold up truth to [their] eyes.

Will be the redirection of many abortion recipients to places on the internet like Project Rachel where they will learn to ask God for forgiveness and finally begin to heal.

They may as well have named the hash tag “#Ihaveagapingsoulwound.”

It just seems like everything the Left is for is something that hurts the West, in this case it’s a direct murder of the next generation for the gullible.

Although they’ll have to answer to God for their deeds eventually in a Darwinian selection the anti-reproduction aspects of the Left will eventually lead to them being even more of a minority than they are now – there will still be some of them around but they’ll be the very rare example of extremism annihilating itself over time.

The proper answer to this disgusting celebration of something that should never be celebrated is to fight it on social media terms. A flood of message from women who carried their babies to term using the hashtag #ichoselife (for that matter, #imchoosinglife makes an even stronger point) with an assist from bloggers might go a long way to contrast what the pro-abortion groups are trying to do to frame the debate.

I’m getting fire up enough to post on this myself. Selfish decisions are not about empowerment, they are about selfishness and nothing more. Would men who abandon their children because they feel it isn’t the right time to be a father be viewed as making an empowered decision?

I have worked with and have several friends who have had abortions… I used to work as a volunteer for post-abortion counselors. BTW, if you’re looking for a job that is in huge demand and will break your heart every day, work for a PAS counselor. (post-abortion stress) We are in particularly desperate need for secular counselors, as there are a lot of non-religious women who come in looking for counseling. (not that we aren’t extremely grateful to our Christian and Catholic counselors)

For more information on that, see this: http://www.ramahinternational.org/

    and this: http://afterabortion.com/

And if pro-aborts think women haven’t been speaking out about their abortions, clearly they are either ignoring (most likely) or unaware of these women (doubtful.) : http://www.silentnomoreawareness.org/

    another to brag about it.

the woman that brags about having two honor kids. Aside from wondering if she might have had 3, did it ever occurr to her that it is the kids’ efforts too that made them honor students or is it just about her?

    • littlehouse18

      The kids are just possessions.

      • littlehouse18

She talks about them like one would about a new car – “Nice, huh?”.

Maybe all her boasting hides a wretch inside.

ESPECIALLY SICK: @IamDrTiller – that handle just makes my skin crawl!

These poor women are just trying to justify to themselves and others their fatal “choice.” Denial is so much easier to live through than guilt.

  • texasgalt

to women on the verge of a very bad choice. They do it right out front, on the sidewalk of the abortion mills.

They are saving lives and winning hearts and minds.

    1) I am sickened by the defense and promotion of late term abortion and the denial of life support to babies that survive the procedure. I think our President has some votes as an Illinois Senator that are truly disgusting. If you are goingto do it, do it early. By second trimester I say the babys rights trump the mother’s. Afterall, the inaleinable right to life is actually in the constitution unlike the right to privacy.

    2) I hate the fact that CA voters still vote on the abortion issue. Boxer’s baby killing support was partly responsible for her success. Carly, after all, was singlehandely going to “make abortion a crime” if she had been elected. I didn’t know a single Freshman Senator can pass legislation and overrule a Supreme Court decision all on her own. So we have financial ruin (Democrat control) in CA because Replublican’s are pro-life.

    3) Out of respect to those that are morally opposed to abortion, no Federal tax dollars should go to fund abortions. The right to chose should include choosing not to have your money fund a moarally dubious practice. (But we need a good argument why the same moral objection shouldn’t apply to conscientious war objectors).

    4) And about these people that are so proud of their abortions that they tweet them. I have a hashtag for them: #toobadyourmotherdidnt

Here I thought Kasey Locksworth was just a really clever troll by the jerks at 4chan.

    Now I wonder.

  • jerry39

This is a perfect example of the fatal flaw of the hard left, and the flaw that justifies hyperbolic “fear mongering” about possible end games similar to Nazi Germany, or Stalin’s Russia. It is simply that the source of the left’s elitism, boils down to nothing more than a collective selfishness that elevates emotion based reasoning over logic based reasoning. It is the justification for everything from lying about health care, to election fraud, and of course to abortion. It is is to turn sound morality on its head and say the ends always justify fthe means if those ends are what feels right to me. It is why we must always keep abortion on the front burner, not only because it is our holocaust, but also because used correctly as a political issue it exposes the true nature of the hard left. It is also why it is so encouraging that we have so many new strong women on our side.

    • littlehouse18

a thought which is practically too much to bear.
