By: Moe Lane (Diary) | February 17th at 09:08 PM |
Alternative title: Andrew Cuomo decides to forgo 2016 Presidential election: …Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo is putting the finishing touches on legislation that would guarantee women in New York the right to late-term abortions when their health is in danger or the fetus is not viable.
Seven Out of Ten Americans Choose the Convenience of Abortion
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | January 24th at 01:15 PM |
Without a strong central values system guiding a society, it becomes focused on the individual, which thrusts individuals into competition with one another and deprives them of any larger identity, purpose or context. The result is a society composed of people acting for personal pleasure, which leads them to neglect others and their own families, and abuse each other out of aggressive competition for social | Read More »
What Did Margaret Sanger Think about Abortion?
By: Jake (Diary) | January 23rd at 02:30 PM |
Yesterday, January 22nd, 2013, is the anniversary of a date that should live in infamy. It was the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion throughout the United States. At the forefront of the pro-abortion movement stands Planned Parenthood. Margaret Sanger, the organization’s founder, has a reputation as both a racist and eugenicist, but her words on abortion might surprise people. | Read More »
Forty Years in the Wilderness
By: The Directors (Diary) | January 22nd at 09:30 AM |
What more may we say about this day in history than that which has already been said? How can we continue to express our sorrow, our sense of loss, and of injustice? And more to the point, should we even bother?
Another Presidential election has come and gone, and the most pro-abortion President in history has been re-elected. Just yesterday a man so enamored of abortion he was unwilling to vote for punishing doctors who failed to provide medical care for children who survived abortion placed his hand on a Bible and took the oath of office for a second time, after having ridden to victory at least in part on his Republican opponent’s unwillingness to even engage him on this issue for fear of backlash. Now our political betters within the beltway and without tell us that it’s time to drop this issue, concede the ground and move on. Let’s be about the truly important business of marginal income tax rates and deficit spending.

TN-4: Scott DesJarlais Must Go
By: Daniel Horowitz (Diary) | January 10th at 11:47 AM |
It’s not enough to vote conservative. We need members of Congress to live the lives of conservatives. At a time when every aspect of our traditional American value system is under assault, we need strong leaders who can defend those values through word and deed. What has long distinguished our party from the Democrats is that we don’t tolerate immorality among our ranks. Adultery should | Read More »
General Screwtape Gets His (Expletive) Chewed
By: Repair_Man_Jack (Diary) | December 5th at 04:00 PM |
It was Zeero-Dark-30 on a bleak December Morning. General Screwtape kind of knew this was coming since the first Tuesday in November. His rather unique and stylish “Master of Puppets” ringtone awakened him. He was not too surprised when he recognized the number as Brimstone HQ.* It wasn’t going to a pleasant morning. The (expletive) – chewing began with gusto.
“Screwtape! You misbegotten spawn of Beelzbubba! I sent you to America to wage a half-way decent War on Women, and the best you could do is have that idiot Romney put them in binders! And those deals where they only get paid $0.70 for every $1.00 the men get – you’ve seen what’s happened to Male U6 Unemployment, you (expletive)! Sandra Fluke is sending you the tab for her birth control. I’m ordering you to pay it as penance for your pathetic screw-ups! Now I’m feeling particularly jolly this fine morning.**Because of that, I’m sending you a file to read that might save your wretched and villainous career. This here tells you how China keeps the Little Ladies in their proper place!”

Important Ballot Questions at Stake
By: Daniel Horowitz (Diary) | October 30th at 04:04 PM |
With all the focus on the presidential race and some of the congressional elections, there are a number of important state ballot questions that we must not overlook. Many of us claim that conservatism is not on the ballot in many states where the candidates for Congress are underwhelming. However, there are a plethora of ballot questions that deal with taxes, marriage, and Obamacare – | Read More »
Texas’s Fight against Planned Parenthood
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | October 30th at 11:23 AM |
With the election and Hurricane Sandy sucking up most of the news oxygen, you may have missed the epic showdown in Texas going on between Rick Perry’s administration and Planned Parenthood. The Texas legislature passed a law last session (2011) prohibiting any state tax dollars from going to abortion providers or their affiliates. In short – Texans shouldn’t have to fund the killing of babies | Read More »
The Extremists Who Report the News
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | October 24th at 08:59 PM |
I’m sending Richard Mourdock some money and you should too. I want to explain to you just how extremist the media is on abortion and just how much spinning in favor of killing kids the media does. According to Gallup polling, roughly a quarter of the population supports Richard Mourdock’s position on abortion — that the only exception in support of abortion should be the | Read More »
The Abortion Debate Continues
By: Breeanne Howe (Diary) | October 12th at 06:00 PM |
Last night during the Vice Presidential debate, we were given quite the surprise when a question concerning a social issue came into play towards the end. Martha Raddatz, the clearly partisan moderator, asked the candidates about their common religious faith, Catholicism, and how it affected their view on abortion. Republican candidate Paul Ryan eloquently summed up that his Catholic faith isn’t the only factor as | Read More »
The Life of the Mother
By: Doug Payton (Diary) | September 11th at 11:53 AM |
Rape, incest, or the life of the mother; these are typically the three reasons under which almost everyone would say that an abortion should be permissible. Well, an international symposium on maternal healthcare in Dublin, Ireland last weekend may reduce that number. About 140 medical professionals were at the event, including experts in obstetrics and gynaecology, mental health and molecular biology. They presented new research | Read More »
Indeed There is a War on Women
By: Daniel Horowitz (Diary) | September 5th at 09:23 AM |
Let’s confront an inconvenient truth. There is a war on women being waged in this country – one that cuts to the core of the ethos war that is being directed at our founding values. And that war on women is being prosecuted by none other than Barack Obama’s party of Sandra Fluke. Leftists have always been masters of projection – decrying the deeds of | Read More »
How did the party let itself get hijacked by abortion warriors?
By: Neil Stevens (Diary) | August 27th at 01:00 PM |
Hold your fire. Did you think I was talking about Republicans? Oh, no. I’m talking about the Democrats. That party has been hijacked by the radical feminist fringe. In a way that mimics the imagined trend of the Tea party, the feminists are pushing losing candidates on the Democrats, and forcing them to pick up losing issues in the elections.
This goes from Barack Obama on down. In a jobs election, he’s talking abortion.

Mark Steyn Reminds us that the War on Children is Real
By: Jake (Diary) | August 27th at 07:00 AM |
One thing I’ve learned over the years is that you don’t read Mark Steyn to feel good about the future. Indeed, there are few writers out there who are better at pouring a cold bucket of reality on our expectations for the future–with a nice bit of gallows humor to make it a little easier to stomach. So, it should go without saying that he’s | Read More »
Some Comments on Todd Akin, Abortion, and Rape
By: Jake (Diary) | August 21st at 08:00 PM |
I’ll be frank: abortion is something I feel very strongly about, yet I do not enjoy talking about. In fact, I’d describe my enthusiasm as I type this post as something approaching tepid at best. Nevertheless, I think I should make some sort of comment on US Senate candidate Todd Akin’s remarks on so-called “legitimate rape” and abortion. First of all, the remarks demonstrate why | Read More »
